John and Jacqueline Lambert
Sons: Brayden and Aslan
John and Jacqueline Lambert have been a part of Freedom House Church from the second year of its existence and have served in many different roles. They are now the first long-term missionaries being sent to preach the Gospel to the nation of Thailand.
Thailand is a nation of over 65 million people with less than 1% evangelical Christians. The majority of its people are Theravada Buddhists by culture, with a strong mix of animism. At this time, it is a constitutional monarchy with freedom of religion, but is surrounded by communist, military, and Islamic influenced nations where active persecution of Christians takes place and many of the world’s poorest live.
The Lamberts will begin their initial term living and working in the northeast part of the country under the ministry of veteran missionaries, Bill and Julie Hughes. Bill and Julie have planted churches in Thailand, homeschooled four children in the country, speak the Thai language fluently, and have a wealth of ministry experience to offer.
The Lamberts' goal is to be in the country long term, learning the language and bringing the life-giving message of God’s grace through Jesus Christ to the Thai people and anyone they meet along the way. As they go forward on this journey in faith, they are fully expecting God to lead them exactly where they need to be.
Their desire is be a catalyst in raising up and supporting local Asian leadership that will multiply other strong leaders who will bring the Gospel throughout Southeast Asia through church planting and evangelism.
