What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are the backbone of Freedom House Church. They're more than a program, more than "something we might want to try for a season." We strongly believe real church, real fellowship and real growth take place in Life Groups, in a way they never could at a Sunday service! In fact, Life Groups are a vital part of the everyday lives of men and women who follow Jesus Christ. That's why we've intentionally created safe small group environments where you can engage in a lifestyle of authentic community and spiritual growth.

Life Groups at Freedom House Church are "free-market style." This means there are four main categories under which a group may fall, and people are free to attend any style and number of groups. The four categories of groups are:
  • Bible Study. This style of group will use a Bible-based curriculum to study a particular topic (such as marriage, leadership, etc.)
  • Fellowship. These groups connect based on their common affinity for a particular hobby, or their common life circumstances.
  • Outreach. Outreach groups serve the community, either by connecting with various agencies to volunteer, or by coming up with their own way to love and help those in need.
  • Recreation. These groups connect based on a common recreational activity.
Meeting times/locations are determined by the group leader. These groups make it easy to make connections, develop friendships, find accountability, and have fun! They can also be a great entry point for friends, family, neighbors, and/or co-workers who don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage you to dive in and connect with as many groups as appeal to you.
