What is water baptism?
It's a public demonstration celebrating the spiritual transformation we experience when we turn our lives over to Jesus. As we are dipped under the water and raised up again, we are leaving our former selves behind. We come out of the water dead to sin and alive to Christ!
Do I need to be baptized in water to be saved?
Absolutely not! Water baptism is a public celebration of the salvation you have already received by faith! But keep in mind water baptism is not something you do to become saved. Instead it's a ceremony proclaiming to friends and family your new life in Jesus after you have given your life to Him. If you would like to know how to be saved, click here.
Does being water baptized make me a member of FHC?
Baptism is a sign of God's covenant with the believer. According to the Bible, it's a public demonstration of our inclusion into the body of Christ--not into any particular church or denomination.
